For this week’s blog, I’d like to switch it up a bit and use an idea that was brainstormed in my Journalism II class, and that is to blog on a Tuesday night to share information on what’s going on in the newsroom. For those of you who are not familiar with The Loquitur, let me shed some insight: it’s Cabrini College’s student-run award-winning newspaper, and the layout process takes place every Monday and Tuesday night. Please excuse me if I’m rambling on, it’s 3:18 a.m. and I am stillĀ in the newsroom along with the other hard-working editors as we strive to produce the 50th Anniversary Edition of the Loquitur. Currently, we are copy editing and fixing corrections, which is very time consuming since we are short-staffed. But this long process of layout pays off in the end, well at least on Thursdays when we hold a print copy in our hands. This is an issue you don’t want to miss! Go online to www.theloquitur.com on Thursday, Sept. 24th to see the internet version of the Loquitur. While you’re there, watch this week’s Webdition of Loqation! And be sure to tune into my show, S.H.O.T.S (Super Hot Online Thursdays) with me, Gianna Shikitino, each and every Thursday at 7 p.m. on wybf.com
